I agree: good food, and great views across the River Stour. Chips are home-made, which makes a big difference. The same applies to the marvellous syrup pudding!

The Lamarsh Lion is a fantastic example of what a country pub is all about, friendly staff, excellent food, a great selection of ales and a warm, inviting atmosphere; not to mention the amazing views!
It is also a great pub to cycle to, from the surrounding villages; Bures, Earls Colne and the rest of the Colne Valley, this pub will definately be making it onto our regular cycle run through the Colne Valley!

Wednesday & Staurday nights 2 Rump steaks with all the trimmings @ £11.95
Thursday & Sunday nights 2 main meals @ £10 (the deal does not include that nights specials but there is still a big selection to choose from)
Friday night fish night 2 fish meals @ £11.95

I have never never known the landlord to be anything but friendly and helpful. Food absolutely fantantics - try two meals for 10 pounds on Sunday evening. Beer great as well.

Best Pub in the area by far. Smokers are very well catered for with a huge fire to keep you warm. The food is fantastic and I think the chips are the best I have tasted, 10 out of 10.

Fab food.Fab staff.Amazing value for money.Who wants or needs to pay for rabbit portions at the Henny Swan when you get wholesome HOME cooked food.

I really recommend the Lamarsh Lion.
My partner and I often eat here as we enjoy the pubs 2 steaks for £11.95 deal on a Thursday and Saturday evening.
The food has always been on an excellent standard and is great value for money.
The pub has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful.
